Funeral services for David Allen Burrows Jr., 56, of Gainesville are set for Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011 at 2
p.m. at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1 to 2
p.m. Services are under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.
David was born in Gainesville on Feb. 3, 1954 to David and Hattie Marie Boyd Burrows. He passed away
Jan. 30, 2011 in Denton.
David was involved in sports in high school playing football and baseball and was employed in his high
school years at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. He was an avid Texas Longhorn fan, a Eagle Scout
and showed his compassion by being a tissue donor.
He is survived by his beloved companion, Vicki Nieman of Denton; brother, James Burrows of Gainesville;
granddaughters, Kayla Davis and Carli Davis; sister-in-law, Cathy Burrows of Gainesville; many nieces,
nephews and cousins and aunt, Dollie Boyd.
David was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Mike Burrows.
Pallbearers will be David Wright, Glen Thurman, Richard Klement, Ricky Selder, Scott Henry and Junior
Boyd. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Burrows, Brad Thompson and Gene Shastain.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assocation.

Gainesville resident Raymond Madison Butts, 75, passed away Friday, March 23, 2012, at Texoma Medical
Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Thursday, March 29, 2012, at Commerce Street Church of Christ with
Ronnie Quaid, church pastor, officiating.
Interment with military honors will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Mike Welch, Kevin Butts, Jack Green,
Brian Winters, Rick Arend and Tom Pierce will serve as pallbearers.
Fane Butts, Jim Butts and Tom Woods will be honorary bearers.
Visitation is set for 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at Clement-Keel Funeral Home.
Raymond was born March 21, 1937, in Valley View to Jack and Sibyl Butts. He served in the U.S. Navy and
was a faithful member of Commerce Street Church of Christ. Mr. Butts had worked at National Supply for
over twenty years and for Gainesville Glass Inc.
Raymond Madison Butts is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Robin Butts of
Gainesville; daughter, Kathy Arend of Gainesville; brother and sister-in-law, Fane and Marlena Butts of
Whitesboro; brother, Jim Butts of Leonard; and grandchildren, Sarah Arend, Amanda Arend, Kylee
Madison Butts and Tana Rose Butts.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Cynthia Denise Butts; sisters, Ann Woods, Betty
Jeanne Hibbard, Linda Sue Butts and Mildred Lucille Butts.

Funeral Services for Michael Anthony Burrows, Sr. (Mike Burrows), 53, of Gainesville are set for 11 a.m.
Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009 at Grand Ave. Baptist Church with Bro. Joe Crow of Nocona and Bro. Ray Trumbull
of Prairie Grove officiating.
Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll &
Son Funeral Home.
Mr. Burrows was born on Nov. 22, 1955 in Gainesville to David and Hattie Burrows. He was a skilled
carpenter and contractor.
Mr. Burrows died Feb. 6, 2009 at North Texas Medical Center after a prolonged illness and valiant battle
fighting West Nile Virus.
Survivors include his wife, Cathy Kerr Burrows of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Karen
Burrows and their baby to be, Anthony Ray of Hood; daughters, Jennifer and Emily Burrows, both of
Gainesville; brothers, David Burrows and James Burrows, both of Gainesville; mother-in-law, Flora Kerr
of Gainesville; brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-law, Linda Kerr of Key West, Fla., Ricky and Paula Kerr of
Forestburg, Joy and Darrell Sutton of Sadler and Jan and Van Moses of Throckmorton; one niece and six
Mr. Burrows is preceded in death by his parents, David and Hattie Burrows and his father-in-law, Dennis

Memorial service for John Burkhart, 43, of Gainesville are set for 5 p.m. today at Clement-Keel Chapel
with Rev. Mark Loewen of First Christian Church officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of
the Clement-Keel Funeral Home of Gainesville.
Mr. Burkhart died Dec. 3, 2007, at his residence.
He was born Feb. 26, 1964, in Muenster to Jeirl Dewayne Burkhart and Connie Lyn (Owens) Burkhart.
He was a member of the First Christian Church, where he participated in the Coats for Kids program
and collecting food for VISTO. He was an artist, loved to draw and paint. He had worked for the
Goodwill Industries for several years.
Survivors include his mother, Connie Burkhart of Gainesville and Jeirl and Wanda Burkhart of Rosston;
grandmother, Ruby Burkhart of Gainesville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Derek and Alicia Burkhart of
Denver, Colo., and Craig and Sylvia Burkhart of Argyle; one niece; and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill and Ruth Owens and Haskell Burkhart; and an aunt,

Funeral services for Brandon Gail Burgess, 36, of Gainesville are set for 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 17,
2011 at First Christian Church in Gainesville with Rev. Mark Lowen officiating. Services are under the

Brandon Gail Burgess died May 14, 2011 at North Texas Medical Center in Gainesville. He was born
March 24, 1975 in Denton to Richard and Debbie (Offord) Burgess.
He married April Dawn Sanders on June 13, 2006 in Las Vegas. He was employed with Select Energy
Services. He had worked at Peterbilt and graduated from Gainesville High School in 1991. He loved to

Judy Bullard Wolfe, 63, of Gainesville entered her heavenly home April 2, 2009 at Denton Regional
She was born in Gainesville on July 30, 1945 to Rev. Herschel and Ruth Greene-Bullard, and was a
graduate of Gainesville High School and North Central Texas College. Judy married Phillip Ray Wolfe on
July 28, 1965 in Gainesville.
Mrs. Wolfe worked as a medical transcriptionist at NTMC for a number of years. She was a faithful
member of Calvary Baptist Church and had previously served as organist and Bible study teacher.
Judy is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Phillip Wolfe of Gainesville; brother and
sister-in-law, Steve and Gail Bullard of Gainesville; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Bob
Chapman of Gainesville; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Sammie Wolfe of Thackerville,
Okla.; nieces and their spouses, Tami Chapman-Henry and Ron, Traci Chapman-King and Stephen,
Jennifer Chapman-Seckel and Rick and Connie Wolfe and Sonny Allmand; niece, Stephanee Bullard;
nephew and spouse, Chad Mansfield and Christy; nephew, Mike Wolfe; great nephews, Drew Alvarado
and Dalton McConnell; great niece and spouse, Loran McConnell-Hensley and Jesse; great-great niece,

Services for Larry D. Butler, 60, of Gainesville are set for 2 p.m. Friday at Temple Baptist Church with

Mr. Butler died May 5, 2008, at his residence. He was born Nov. 11, 1947, in Gainesville to Albert and
Helen Capps Butler. On June 2, 1974, he married Melinda Baugh in Gainesville. He was a heavy
equipment operator in Cooke County’s Pct. 1, and had been employed in oil production operations in
Alaska and off-shore locations. He rode with the “Glory Riders” and was a member of the National
Barrel Horse Association and the American Paint Horse Association. He was a member of Temple
Baptist Church and raised and showed registered Dairy Goats.
Survivors include his wife, Melinda Butler of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Helbert
Barion of Aubrey; daughter, Jennie Butler of Gainesville; father, Albert Butler of Haskell; five
grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Vicky and Donald Miller of
Gainesville; brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Mary Ann Foster of Woodbine; parents-in-law, Burl and
Marion Sanderson of Gainesville; several cousins; and three nephews.He was preceded in death by his
mother, Helen Foster on July 2, 1978.Pallbearers are fellow co-workers in Pct. 1. Visitation will be at

Bobby Ray Butler, 64, of OKC, joined his Heavenly Father August 17, 2010.
Bobby was born June 1, 1946 in Gainesville, TX.
He retired from the Army after 27 years, and among his numerous awards were the Silver Star, Legion
of Merit and Bronze Star. He was a member of Southwest Church of Christ.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; sister and brother; and infant son. Survivors include his
wife, Jane; sons: Thomas and Jason & wife Mary; daughter, Shanna; grandsons: Teel, Mason, Carl and
Riley; sister, Lou Nelson & husband Johnny; in-laws, Pete & Ruby Jordon.
Services are 10:00 AM, Friday, at Southwest Church of Christ. Committal Friday at 3:30 PM at Fairview
