Richard Charles Sutton, 46, of Gainesville was buried in the Rosston Cemetery.

He was born to Jim Sutton and Diane Hoover in Gainesville. He passed away on Saturday July 24, 2010 at
Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth. Richard like to fish with his daughter Zoe, spend time hog hunting
with his best friend "Sketter" a red heeler, leather work, woodworking, and riding horses.

Richard is survived by his father and his mother; his daughter; 2 brothers and a sister; and many nieces,
nephews, other family and friends.
Richard is preceded in death by his grandparents: AG and Alyce Sutton; aunt: Clella; cousin: Robert Murray;
Grandfather: Richard Ray Hoover; and brother: Clay Clement.

MYRA — Graveside services for Eric Sturm, 50, of Myra are set for 10 a.m., Friday, April 8, 2011 at Reed
Cemetery in Myra. The services are under the direction of the McCoy Funeral Home.

Mr. Sturm died April 4, 2011 at United Regional Hospital in Wichita Falls. He was born May 23, 1960 in
Gainesville.

Survivors include his wife, Deena Sturm of Myra; brother, Mike Sturm of Muenster; and sister Barbara
Maury.

Funeral services for Linda Marie Stobaugh Dietz, 62, of Gainesville, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, July
7, 2012, at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Hollis Parsons officiating. Burial will
follow at Fairview Cemetery.   A visitation is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, July 6, 2012, at Geo. J. Carroll &
Son Funeral Home.
Mrs. Dietz died July 3, 2012, in Denton.   She was born July 4, 1949, in Gainesville to Jack Turner and Mary
Francis Stobaugh.

Survivors include husband, Jerry Dietz of Gainesville; daughter, Tracy Lynn Dietz and husband Mike Ware;
son, Jereme Dietz and wife Alisha; brother, William Turner Stobaugh; brother, Jerry Holman Stobaugh;
sister, Jean Ann Dietz; and granddaughters, Raegan and Rylie.  Mrs. Dietz was preceded in death by her
parents.

Kathy Martin, 56, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 17,
2014. She was a well-loved woman with class, who loved her family first,
cooking second, yellow roses and numerous other things that made
Kathy Kathy.
Her Celebration of Life will take place at 3 pm on Saturday, September
20, 2014 at Skyvue Funeral Home in Mansfield.
Kathy was preceded in death by her brother, Johnnie Lee Stokes Jr.
She is survived by her loving husband, Edward Martin; son, Scott Stice;
daughter, Jennifer Stice-Carrier; sister, Charlen McBride; grandchildren,
Madison Carrier, Payson Carrier and Aiden Stice; niece, Heather
McMinn-King; along with numerous other loving family and friends.

Memorial services for James Ivan Stogdill, 69, of Gainesville, are
scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Whaley United
Methodist Church with Rev. Jerry Jones officiating.  The family will
receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8 at Geo. J.
Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Mr. Stogdill was born September 12, 1944 in Gainesville to Ivan and Ima
Jean (Dean) Stogdill.  He passed away April 7, 2014 in Gainesville.

Mr. Stogdill was a member of Gainesville High School’s graduating class of
1963.  He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1966 and was stationed in
Korea.  He married Stephanie Blanton on December 25, 1971 at the
Blanton’s ranch north of Gainesville.  Many remember Mr. Stogdill from
the hardware business; from O’Brien’s while he was in school, to co-
owning S&S Hardware, to the 23 years he spent at Joe Walter Lumber
Co.  He was an avid sports fan and a devoted OU supporter.  His children’s
fondest memories are of their “weekend adventures,” where their dad
would load them up in the car without disclosing their destination.  They
would go to the lake, go hiking, and enjoy the outdoors.  Mr. Stogdill
never missed a little league game or any of his children’s activities.  Most
recently, he treasured the time he spent with his grandchildren.

Survivors include: wife, Stephanie Blanton Stogdill of Gainesville; son,
James Grant Stogdill and wife, Kacie of Sanger; son, Jordan William
Stogdill and fiancé, Nicole Gilbreath of Callisburg; son, Blanton Dean
Stogdill of Denton; grandchildren: Nolyn, Camryn, Jonathan, and Lilly;
father, Ivan Stogdill of Weatherford; and sister, Carolyn Bruehl of
Norman, OK.

Mr. Stogdill was preceded in death by his mother, Ima Jean Stogdill and
sister, Martha Finch.

CALVIN C. SUMMAR WHITESBORO - Funeral services for Calvin C. Summar, 74, will be held at 10 a.m.
Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Rev. Joe Patterson
officiating. Interment will follow in Sadler Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of
Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro. Calvin passed away on Monday, March 16, 2009 at Whitesboro Health
and Rehabilitation Center after a courageous battle with cancer. Calvin was born on June 12, 1934 in Turney
to Ferris C. and Ruth J. (Warren) Summar. He served in the United States Navy, was a member of Central
Baptist Church in Whitesboro and had worked for the City of Gainesville as a Heavy Equipment Operator.
Survivors include a sister, Ann Jones of Gainesville and 11 nieces and nephews, Victor Leach of Houston,
Peggy Jones of Irving, Patsy Fain of Gainesville, Billy Jones of Winsboro, Jerry Jones of Gainesville, Leona
Welch of Needville, Stephen Fincher of Aubrey, Mary Guffee of Sadler, Betty Brill of Whitesboro, George
Guffee of Sadler, and Robert Guffee of Sadler. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Myrtle Guffee,
Daphine Leach and Betty Summar and three brothers, James Summar, Herbert Summar and Estell
Summar. Pallbearers are Stephen Fincher, George Guffee, Robert Guffee, Billy Jones, Jerry Jones and
Victor Leach. Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. this evening, March 17, 2009 at the funeral home. To sign the

Graveside services for Betty May Lucas, 74, of Richardson, is set for 10:00 AM Saturday, August 8, 2015 at
the Fairview Cemetery in Gainesville. A gathering in remembrance of Betty to follow at 2800 Harris St. in
Gainesville. No visitation is planned. Services are under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Betty was born on December 3, 1940 in Collinsville to Cecil Ray and and Thelma Jane (Mayfield) Sutton. She
peacefully passed away on August 5, 2015 in Dallas surrounded by her family.

Betty was a resident of Gainesville until 1983, when she moved to Hollister, MO. She returned to the DFW
area in 2009.

She is survived by her sister Emma Lou McDaniel and her husband Mike of Duncanville; daughter Kimberly
McElreath of Gainesville; daughter Tommie Jay Kukes and her husband Troy of Springfield, MO.; and
multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Tommy Lucas; daughter Sherrie Wolfe; and grandson
Jimmy Wolfe.

are set for 10:00 AM Monday, September 12, 2016 at The Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-day Saints in Gainesville with Bishop Kevin Stewart
officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in the Dallas-Fort Worth
National Cemetery. A visitation will be held Sunday, September 11, 2016
from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Kathy passed away at home surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Shaw was born January 18, 1952 in Fort Worth, to Lewis Street, Jr.
and Erma (Wright) Street. She has been a lifelong resident of Gainesville,
graduating from Gainesville High School and Cooke County Community
College with a degree in nursing. She married Danny Shaw on April 27,
1970. She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
in Gainesville and has been very active in the community.

Kathy is survived by her husband of 46 years, Danny Shaw of Lone Grove;
son Sean Scott; son and daughter-in-law Greg and Sherrill Shaw; son and
daughter-in-law Eric and Layla Shaw; sister and brother-in-law Karen and
Sidney Walston; brother and sister-in-law Anthony and Cecilia Street;
grandchildren Brittany, Holden, Chelsea, and Brooklyn Shaw;
great-grandchildren Joshua Koelzer and Christopher Grooms.

Mrs. Shaw was preceded in death by her parents Lewis Street, Jr. and
Erma Wood, and her step-father Bert E. Wood.

Vicky Lynn Tuggle was born in Gainesville, Texas on October 6, 1943 to Raymond and Ruth Oleta Sutton.
Vicky grew up in Gainesville and attended school in Gainesville as well. She married Melvin Edington in 1960.
Vicky was a stay-at-home mother to their four children; Mark, Lori, Mike and Matt.
After divorcing with Melvin, she married Jack Dorman Clevenger in 1983, and they lived happily together
until his passing in 1989.
Vicky married Bobby Tuggle in 1991. It was through this marriage that she gained four more children;
Richard, Sam, John and Julie. Vicky and Bobby enjoyed the great outdoors- they loved to hunt and ride
four-wheelers on Tuggle Hill. Bobby passed away in 2014.
Vicky went to work at the State School in Gainesville in 1980 and retired there 25 years later. She made
many life-long friends during her time there and loved the years she spent there.
Vicky was preceded in death by her parents, the father of her four children, Melvin Edington, her second
husband Jack Clevenger and her last husband Bobby Tuggle.

Vicky is survived by her son Mark Edington, daughter Lori Noggler and husband Bobby, son Mike Edington,
son Matt Edington and wife Penni, son Richard Tuggle and wife Gay, son Sam Tuggle and wife Jennifer, son
John Tuggle and wife Aubrey and daughter Julie Rogers. Grandchildren, Mark and Trey Rogers, Casey Dawn
Green, Michael Lynn Green and wife Karli, Sierra Edington, Trysten, Tyler and Ahnna Edington, Dakota and
Paola Nichols, Kennedy Nichols, Charisma Tell, Candida Fleitman, Mattie Tuggle, Lillie Tuggle, Jacinda and
Drew Rogers, Gaylon, Jaylee and Audessa Tuggle, and 5 Great-Grandkids. She also leaves behid her beloved
dog JoJo.

Memorial services were held at 2:00p.m., Friday, February 10, 2017, at Tabernacle Baptist Church.
