Services for Kesley Garrett Patterson, 27, of Gainesville are set for 2 p.m. Sunday at Grand Avenue Baptist
Church with the Rev. Aubrey Spires officiating. Burial is set to follow in Fairview Cemetery under the
direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Mr. Patterson died Thursday, June 5, 2008 in Gainesville.
He was born Nov. 11, 1980 in Sherman to David and Donna (Price) Patterson.

He was a graduate of Gainesville High School and was a member of the Grand Avenue Baptist Church. He
was a musician by nature and enjoyed playing the guitar and drums. He was employed in the HVAC industry
for a number of years. He also enjoyed fishing and motorcycle riding with his family and possessed a great
love for his family and for animals.

He is survived by his parents, David and Donna Patterson of Gainesville; grandmother, Joan Brown of
Gainesville and sister and brother-in-law, Brooke and Nathan Scherrer of Austin.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Katie Patterson and Richard Brown.
Pallbearers are Tim Franks, Brandon Sorrell, Casey Martin, Jeff Sorrell, Hector Leal and Kenny McCoy.  No
visitation is planned.

Keith Partain (56) of Whitesboro.

Mr. Partain was born February 9, 1955 in Denison, Texas to Troy Weldon and Billie Jean (Wilson) Partain. He
died Sunday, June 12, 2011 at his residence. Troy was a tire service technician. He loved to fish and was an
avid baseball fan.

Survivors of Troy Partain include sons, Brian Partain of Gainesville and John Partain of North Carolina;
brother, David Partain of Gainesville; sister, Robyn Driggers of Victoria; two grand-children and many
nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jackie Lynn Partain.

Funeral services for Christina DeAnn Parsons, 41, of Callisburg, will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, April 14,
2011, at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Kelly Gray officiating. Burial will follow in the
Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.
Mrs. Parsons died April 8, 2011 at North Texas Medical Center.

Christy was born January 5, 1970 in Irving to Ronald Lee Cook and Mary Dooley Cook.

She is survived by her husband, Kevin Parsons; her children, Ciarra Ann, Rhiannon Leigh and Bethany
Lauren all of Callisburg. She is also survived by her mother, Mary Cook Perry and her step-father, Gerald of
Gordonville; brother, Ronnie “Bubba” Cook and his wife, Daloris of Woodbine; sister, Sharla Unger of
Gainesville; mother-in-law, Sharon Hess of Gainesville; brother-in-law, Jeffrey Parsons and his children of
Whitesboro; brother-in-law and wife, Matt and Terria and their children of Callisburg; sister-in-law and
husband, Kimberly and Samuel York and children of Myra; Colby Parsons, of Gainesville. She is also survived
by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mrs. Parsons was preceded in death by her father; sister, Shelia Denise Cook; and father-in-law, Robert L.
Parsons.

Visitation will be held at 6 p.m., this evening, at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel.

Miss Reba Elizabeth Owens, 18, of 619 Fair Avenue died unexpectedly at 1 pm Thursday in Saint Paul
Hospital, Dallas.  She had been admitted to the hospital Wednesday for ear surgery.

She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Owens.

Funeral Services were conducted at 4 p.m. today in George J. Carroll & Son Chapel, with interment in Rest
Haven Memorial Park.  Officiating ministers were the Rev. Messrs. Fred D. Waldrop and Gene Shomake and
Mr. Douglas Robison.

Miss Owens was born October 14, 1948 in Gena, Louisiana and was a member of the 1967 Senior Class of
Gainesville High School.  She was a member of the Grand Avenue Baptist Church and active in the Young
People's Department.

Surviving are her parents; one brother, Lane Owens of the home; two sisters, Delinda Owens of the home
and Mrs. Jeirl Connie Burkhart of 1403 Culberson Street.  Jack Owens of Gainesville is an uncle.

Services for Allen Wayne Payton, 51, of Gainesville are set for 2 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist
Church with Rev. Don Yeager officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the
Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home of Gainesville. Mr. Payton died Jan. 7, 2008, at Presbyterian Hospital of
Denton.
He was born Nov. 6, 1956, in Gainesville to Paul and Edith Stobaugh Payton. Allen Wayne Payton attended
Gainesville Public Schools and was a Sponsor of the North Texas High School Rodeo Club. He was also a
member of P.R.C.A. and the I.R.A. associations. He was employed as a Truck Driver for Lone Star
Transportation and had earned commendations for his driving skills.
Survivors include his son, Leif Payton of Bridgeport, daughter, Luciana Bowles of Bridgeport; grandson,
Connor Anthony of Bridgeport; niece, Joanna Boaz; great-niece, Jacey Boaz; and sister, Sarah Payton of
Gainesville. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Payton on Aug. 11, 1990; and by his mother, Edith
Payton on June 27, 2000. Pallbearers are Coy McIleroy, Danny Neal, Mike Liddell, Tom Richardson, Mitchell
Smith and Bobby Randolph. Honorary pallbearers are Donny Mask and Leo Phillips.

HALTOM CITY – Philip Ray Partin of Haltom City, Texas passed away Saturday, May 17, 2014 in a Dallas
Hospital. Philip was born January 8, 1949 in Durant, Okla. to Jon Alice Hale and Ben Partin. His family
moved to Gainesville in the mid 1950's. After his graduation in 1967, he spent eight years in the U.S. Air
Force before making his home in Fort Worth. He worked for Lockheed Martin for 33 years, retiring in 2006.
He spent 18 years with his soul mate and the love of his life, Judy.

Honoring his wishes there will not be a service and his body was donated to UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Preceding him in death are his parents and one brother, Donald.

Survivors include his loving wife, Judy and two brothers, Dennis and Michael.

visitation is planned.   Deloris was born on June 26, 1940 in Gainesville to Hubert Henry and Ulia Selma
(Nichols) Owens. She passed away on January 25, 2015 in Fort Worth at Plaza Medical Center.

Dee was of the Baptist faith, and baptized at Grand Avenue Baptist Church. She was a lifetime member of
the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and was retired from Weber Aircraft.

She is survived by her daughter Vicky Smith Lindsey and her husband Jim of Sherman; son Jimmy Hughes
and his wife Denise of Denison; son Steve Hughes and his wife Lisa of Sherman; son Billy Hughes and his
wife Lisa of Sherman; daughter Lisa Hoberer and her husband Richard of Gainesville; 14 grandchildren; six
great-grandchildren; sister Frances Covington of Gainesville; sister Bonnie King of Irving; sister Modell
Stanfill of Arlington; and 11 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Robert Owens; and sister Paula Bishop.

Nate was born December 18, 1998 in Gainesville. He loved working on trucks and stereo systems and was
an avid fan of the Gas Monkey television show.

Savanah Owens of Denton; brother Justin Owens of Gainesville; niece Kaylee; nephews: Cameron, Marcus,
Jayce, and Noah; and mother Tracy Owens of Denton.

Pattie was born on November 6, 1942 to James Andrew Patterson JR and Lou Ella McCutcheon in
Gainesville, Texas.

She graduated from Gainesville High School in May, 1961. Pattie was a member of the Gainesville Rainbow
Girls. She attended Cooke County College. She was a teacher's aide for Denton ISD. She married Henry K.
Smith on July 22, 1984 at First Baptist Church, Gainesville, TX. She enjoyed spending time at home with her
children and stepchildren. She loved doing things for others. She was a member of Midland Community Bible
Study for many years. Pattie was a member of 2nd Baptist Church in Lubbock.

Pattie is survived by her husband, Henry Smith; her children, Whitson Lee and Margaret Hay, Rebecca and
Kevin Harvell, Michael and Diana Smith, Dennis and Char Smith, Bradley and Gail Smith, and Andrea White;
her sister, Nancy Housewright; her brother, James Patterson, III; and her grandchildren.
