Graveside services for Glenn Elbert Murphree, 73, of Gainesville are set for 10 a.m. Saturday, July 3, 2010
at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. A visitation will be held at
the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. tonight.
Glenn was born on Sept. 2, 1936 in Thackerville, Okla. to A. E. and Lillie Cannaday Murphree. He passed
away Thursday, July 1, 2010 in Gainesville. He attended Thackerville and Gainesville schools graduating in
1954 from Gainesville High School. He graduated from Gainesville Junior College in 1956 receiving his
associates degree. Glenn also served in the U. S. Army from 1959 - 1961.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Sharon Murphree of Gainesville; daughter, Terri
Hermes of Gainesville; daughter, Cheryl Eddowes of Gainesville and grandchildren, Derek Murphree of
Grapevine, Kaylee Murphree of Gainesville, Matthew Hermes of Gainesville, Michael Hermes of Gainesville,
Brittany Eddowes of Gainesville and Amanda Eddowes of Gainesville. He is also survived by his sister-in-law
and her spouse, Dollie and Don Swafford of Ponder; sister-in-law, Patricia Gibson of Gainesville;
sister-in-law and her spouse, Janie and Jim Freeman of Gainesville; sister-in-law and her spouse, Jo and
Vernon Bevers of Gainesville and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Scott, Dusty Scott, Jimmy Sorrell and grandsons, Derek Murphree, Matthew
Hermes and Michael Hermes. Honorary pallbearers will be granddaughters, Kaylee Murphree, Brittany
Eddowes and Amanda Eddowes.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ollie Coulter Murphree in 2003 and his parents.

GLENN RICHARD "DICKIE" MURPHY 1960-2004

Glenn Richard "Dickie" Murphy, 44, of Gainesville, died June 14, 2004, at the Care Inn of Sanger.
No services are planned. Arrangements are under the direction of the Clement-Keel Funeral Home of
Gainesville.
He was born Feb. 20, 1960, in Gainesville to Glenn H. and Jimmie I. (Parrish) Murphy. He was a welder in the
Gainesville area.
Survivors include his mother, Jimmie Murphy of Gainesville; brother and sister-in-law, Wesley and Rhonda
Murphy of Whitesboro; and several nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his
father.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetic Association of Texas; 3301 Hamilton Ave., Ste. 104;
Fort Worth, TX 76107-1847.

Funeral Home. Chad died at his residence on Saturday, March 20, 2010.

Graveside services for Connie Welch, 60, of Gainesville are set for 10
a.m. Thursday, June 10, 2010 at Mountain Park Cemetery in Saint Jo.

Burial will follow in Mountain Park Cemetery. Services are under the
direction of McCoy Funeral Home of Saint Jo.

Mrs. Welch died Monday at Denton Regional Medical Center.

She is survived by her spouse, John Welch of Gainesville; daughters,
Christie Ferguson and Courtney Gregg; son, Clayton Gouard; parents,
David and Norma Mozingo; sister, Dana Brown and brothers, Brent
Mozingo and Trent Mozingo.

A visitation is not planned.
