JIMMY CHARLES LIEDTKE SR. 1937-2007

Services for Jimmy Charles Liedtke Sr., 70, of Gainesville are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Geo. J. Carroll &
Son Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darrell McIntyre officiating.  Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery
under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home of Gainesville.

Mr. Liedtke, a Loving Husband, Father and Grandfather, died November 11, 2007, at his home in Gainesville.

He was born January 8, 1937, in Gainesville to Elmore and Marie Foster Liedtke. On July 26, 1958, he
married Barbara Wilson Liedtke in Gainesville. He attended Gainesville schools, graduating from Gainesville
High School in 1957. He was a member of the Texas National Guard, mobilized for active duty in 1961 during
the Berlin Crisis. Later, he was co-owner and manager of Liedtke Oil Company. In 1975, he became
associated with Liedtke Motor Company until his retirement in 2002. He was a member of many automotive
associations and organizations.

Survivors include his spouse, Barbara Liedtke; children, Jimmy Liedtke Jr of Gainesville and Amy Lynne
Liedtke Langley and husband, Colby of Austin; grandchildren, Brylie and Chisam; siblings, William W. “Bill”
Liedtke of Southlake, Frank Liedtke of Gainesville and Bob Liedtke of Gainesville;
mother-in-law, Maurine Williams; five brothers and sisters-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmore and Marie Liedtke and son, David Brent Liedtke in
December 2004.
Pallbearers are Steve King, Lynn Wages, Kenny Wages, Lynn Wages Jr., Jeremiah Williams and Billy
Liedtke.

No visitation is planned.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the charity of one’s choice.

Services for Edna Reddy Lindsey, 92, of Gainesville are set for 2 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist
Church with Rev. Gene Gordon and Rev. Robert J. Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery
under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home of Gainesville.

Mrs. Lindsey died July 8, 2007, at Pecan Tree Manor.

She was born Sept. 18, 1914, in Whiteoaks, N.M., to George R. and Nora Belle Heath Reddy. On Aug. 27,
1932, she married Charles Alfred Lindsey in Wichita Falls. She received a bachelor of arts degree from
Midwestern University in Wichita Falls and a master’s degree in library science from the University of North
Texas in Denton. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her children, Carol Ann McDaniel and Dr. C.A. “Al” Lindsey; four grandchildren, Dale and
Barry McDaniel and Greg and Jeremy Lindsey; great-granddaughter, Rebecca McDaniel of Mineral Wells;
great-grandson, Cpl. Matthew McDaniel, USMC, now serving in the Middle East; sibling, Joy Sherwood; and
three nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Charles Lindsey on Feb. 13, 1984; and her sister, Georgianna
Craig.
Pallbearers are Greg and Jeremy Lindsey, Dale and Barry McDaniel; Lanier Lohn; and Kenneth Reddy.
Honorary pallbearers are Tom Miller, Jim and Joy Sherwood, Gail Lohn, Ron and Linda Burton, Amon Burton
and Cindy Bigbee.

Visitation will be at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Library at the Gainesville Middle School.

Memorial services for Charles “Butch” Links, 69, of Gainesville, are set for 2:00 PM Friday, March 14, 2014
at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Chapel with Dr. Eddie Chennault officiating.   Mr. Links passed away March 9,
2014 in Denton.

Butch was born May 18, 1944 in Gainesville to Charlie L. and Chloe Gladys Links.  

He served in the United States Air Force from 1966 - 1969. He married Barbara Anne Watson on December
22, 1977 in Saginaw.   Butch was a professional golfer for ClubCorp for 15 years and at the Gainesville
Municipal Golf Course from 1986 to 2005.  He also played for the PGA Senior Tour in the late 1990’s.

Butch is survived by his wife of 36 years, Barbara Links of Gainesville; son, Charles Linden Links III of
Euless; daughter and son-in-law, Julia Joann and Marcus Sewell of Sherman.  He is also survived by 5
grandchildren.   Mr. Links was preceded in death by his parents; his sister Margie Williams; sister Billie Giles;
and sister Jane Siegmund.

Alstyne. She passed away Friday October 28, 2016 at her residence in
Irving. She was born December 6, 1958 in Gainesville, Texas to Charlie
and Virginia Ware Links. She is survived by her Mother; Virginia Links of
Fort Worth. Sons: Cody Links of Denison, Paul Foster and wife Sherry of
Bryson and Justin Links of Bryson. Brothers; Glen Links of Arizona, Mark
Links of Dallas, Ricky Links of Oklahoma and Terry Links of Irving.
Sisters; Abbe Welch of Justin, Sherry Hageman of Fort Worth, Billie
Wiesman of San Antonio. Grandchildren: Landen and Branden Foster.
