MUENSTER Graveside service for Allan Gunnels, 41, of Muenster is set for 10 a.m. Tuesday at Fairview
Cemetery with Rev. Ralph Gourley of First Baptist Church of Muenster officiating. Arrangements are under
the direction of the Clement-Keel Funeral Home of Gainesville.

Mr. Gunnels died April 3, 2008, at his residence.

He was born Nov. 15, 1966, in Gainesville to Edward and Lorene (Gunter) Gunnels. On Sept. 4, 1987, he
married Laura Doughty in Gainesville. He was of the Baptist faith and worked for Peterbilt Truck Company in
Denton.

Survivors include Laura Gunnels of Muenster; father, Edward Gunnels of Gainesville; son, Zachary Gunnels
of Muenster; daughter, Tara Gunnels of Muenster; brothers, Edward ButchGunnells Jr. of Springtown, Garry
Gunnells, and William Gunnells of Arlington; and sisters, Gloria VanDeventer of Mesquite, Linda Dork of
Grand Prairie, Brenda Crouch of Justin, and Deborah Jeter of Grand Prairie; and several nieces and
nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lorene Gunnels.
WILLIAM E. “BILL” GUNNELLS 1963-2009

Funeral services for William E. “Bill” Gunnells will be held at 2 p.m.
Monday, Dec. 21, 2009 at Temple Baptist Church with Rev. Hubert Wright
Associate Pastor of First Baptist Church Gainesville officiating. Services
are under the direction of Clement-Keel Funeral Home.

William Gunnells, passed away Dec. 13, 2009 in Phoenix, Ariz. where he
was working for Homeland Security. Bill Gunnells was born Jan. 21, 1963
in Gainesville to Edward E. and Lorraine (Gunter) Gunnells. He served in
the U.S. Army and was a member of the American Legion and FLEOA. He
was a graduate of Cooke County Community College (NCTC) and Vermont
University. He married Karen Overman May 26, 2005 in Fort Worth.

Mr. Gunnells is survived by his wife, Karen Overman Gunnells of Fort
Worth; step-son, Joey Wells of Fort Worth; nephew, Nicholas Gunnells of
Gainesville; foster-parents, Loyd and Bettie Gibbs of Gainesville; foster-
brother, David Gibbs of Greenville and foster-sister, Donna Noto of
Arlington.

He is preceded in death by a brother, Allan Gunnells and his father,
Edward E. Gunnells.
Pallbearers are Nicholas Gunnells, Joey Wells, Gilbert Parsons, Tony
Weir, Sr., Barry Fleitman and Robert Bengfort.
Visitation will be this evening from 2-4 p.m. Sunday afternoon at
Clement-Keel Funeral Home.
LYNN "GUTIERREZ" ASKEW (1955-2010)

GARLAND — Lynn Gutierrez Askew, 55, of Garland was born March 30, 1955 in Gainesville and passed away
July 26, 2010 in Rockwall. She was a 1973 graduate of Gainesville High School, and worked as a data clerk
for the Garland School District for thirteen years, of which eleven were spent at a blue ribbon campus, The
Classical Center at Brandenburg.
Two brothers, Johnny and Paris Gutierrez, survived Ms. Askew.

She was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Askew; her parents, John and Shirley Gutierrez and one
sister, Alicia Tidmore.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Williams Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel in
Garland. Services are under the direction of Williams Funeral Directors of Garland.

Graveside service for Van G. Griffith, 60, formerly of Gainesville, is set for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Oak
Grove Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home of
Gainesville.

Mr. Griffith died June 18, 2007.

He was born Dec. 22, 1946, in Gainesville to Claude Lee and Jessie Faulkner Griffith. He had formerly been
employed by the City of Dallas in the sanitation department.

Survivors include his daughters, Diane Lowry and Becky Griffith; brothers, C.L., Billy Joe, Gerald Wayne,
Paul Ray and Matt Griffith; and sisters, Sandra Kay Carrigan and Shirley Fay Griffith.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; and one brother.  No visitation is planned.

Funeral services for James Daniel Grundy will be Thursday April 5, 2012
at 2:00 P.M. in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow
at Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 pm
at the funeral home. Mr. Grundy passed away Sunday, April 1, 2012,  in
Norman, Oklahoma.

He was born April 24, 1942 in Gainesville, Texas to J.M. "Pete" and Louise
Nolen Grundy. He was married to Cledith Forga in Carlsbad, New Mexico
on July 7, 1977. He has lived in Brown County for the past five years.
James was a member of the American Legion where he served as an
officer, and a member of the North Lake Volunteer Fire Department. He
was also a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. His hobbies
were wood working, repairing rod and reels, plants, and his aquarium. He
also loved his grandchildren and his special grandchild, his dog Hercules.

James is survived by his wife Cledith Grundy of May, Tx., four daughters;
Margie and husband Tim Adams of Norman, Ok., Charlene and husband
Roy Tankersley of Ardmore, Ok., Wendy and husband Scott Phillips of
Lubbock, Tx., Nikiti and husband David Ridgeway of Big Lake, Tx. He is
also survived by two sons Danny Reed of Mechanicsville, Maryland, and
Dwayne and wife Lisa Forga of Midland, Texas, twelve grandchildren,
fifteen great-grandchildren, his father J.M. "Pete" Grundy of
Stephenville, Tx., two sisters Vickie and husband Lee Little of
Stephenville, Tx. and Carolyn Dunn of Mansfield, Tx., one brother Donnie
and wife Sonya Grundy of Grand Prairie, Tx. He is preceded by his mother.

Heartland Funeral Home of Early is in charge of arrangements.

Funeral mass for Curtis Lee Grewing, 52, of Dallas, is set for 10:00 AM Saturday, September 19, 2015, at St.
Peter’s Catholic Church with Fr. Phil Petta officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Peter’s Cemetery. A rosary
will be held at 7:00 PM Friday at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Curtis passed away September 16, 2015 in Dallas. He was born March 19, 1963 in Gainesville, to Edward
Joseph and Dorothy Marie (Geray) Grewing.

Curtis is survived by his parents Edward and Dorothy Grewing of Lindsay; brother and sister-in-law Keith
and Lori Grewing of Durant, OK; brother and sister-in-law Jeff and Laura Grewing of Highland Village. He is
also survived by four nephews, 2 nieces, and numerous aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry and Mary (Mages) Grewing and Al and Ann (Dulock)
Geray.

A memorial service for Fredda Lois Bunyard, 83, of Gainesville, is
scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Geo. J.
Carroll & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Kremling officiating. The
family will receive friends following the service.

Mrs. Bunyard passed away August 27, 2016 in Denton.

Fredda was born August 6, 1933 in Prosper to Frederick Howell and Lois
Elizabeth (Underwood) Greenwood. For many years, she operated Lost
Luggage on North Commerce with her late husband, Wayne. Mrs.
Bunyard enjoyed traveling, antiquing, knitting, and had done extensive
genealogy work.
She was loved dearly and will be missed.

Survivors include: son Gary W. Bunyard of Llano; daughter Sharon
“Sherree” Bunyard of Lewisville; grandson Patrick Bunyard of Beaumont;
sister Ginger Herrmann of Gainesville; nephew Marty Herrmann of
Houston; niece Jana Portales of Flower Mound; and niece Laura Salazar of
Denton.

Mrs. Bunyard was preceded in death by: her parents; husband Wayne
Bunyard; brother-in-law Terry Herrmann; and nephew Randy Herrmann.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Noah’s Ark
Animal Shelter.
