GREGORY MARK CYPERT
1963-2011

MONTGOMERY - Gregory Mark Cypert, 47, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011.
Service will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Lonestar Cowboy Church in Montgomery. Burial will be in Smith Memorial
Park in Willis. Arrangements are by Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home of Montgomery.

Greg was born July 22, 1963, in Gainesville to his parents, Bill and Connie Cypert. Greg was known for his
quick wit, his kind heart and his ability to tell a tale. Greg graduated from Gainesville High School in 1981,
attended Texas Tech University, where he had a wonderful time, and then attended and graduated from
Sam Houston State University with a degree in Criminal Justice in 1990.
Greg married Cheryl Mock in 1991, and lived in Flower Mound, where he worked as a counselor for the Lena
Pope Home for boys and girls. During his many years there, Greg touched and influenced for life, many
at-risk children.

Greg and Cheryl moved to Montgomery, where they were both employed by Boys and Girls Country in
Hockley. During his time there, Greg developed several curriculums and teaching modules for his field of
expertise.

In 1988, Greg was diagnosed with kidney disease and received his first donated kidney from his father in
1989. Ten years later, Greg again went through a kidney transplant thanks to an anonymous donor. Thanks
to these selfless donors, Greg was able to enjoy life with his wife and to father his two outstanding sons,
Caleb, 18, and Aaron, 15. It would be honest to say that Greg lived and breathed for his family. Greg took
such pride in his boys and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with them, water and jet skiing with
them at the lake or playing baseball. Greg was comforted in his last days knowing his boys are such fine
young men.

Ultimate thanks go to Dr. Gene Forrester, Dr. Phil Leggett and to nurse Pam Parmer.

Greg is survived by his wife and sons; his mother, Connie Stovall and husband Kenneth of Gainesville; two
sisters, Cindy Rowley and husband Marty of Amarillo, Teri Jaroszewski, and husband Ronnie of San Antonio;
a brother, Chris Cypert of Gainesville; three nieces and nephews, Matthew, Michael and Theresa Rowley, all
of Amarillo; and many other family members and a host of friends.
Visitation for family will be from 6 until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to Cheryl Cypert, trustee, for Caleb R. Cypert and
Aaron L. Cypert College Fund at any Amegy Bank or by mail to Amegy Bank, 20800 Eva St., Montgomery,
TX 77356; or to The National Kidney Foundation of Southeast Texas Inc., 2400 Augusta Drive Suite 252,
Houston, TX 77057.
